Food is Medicine: Anti-Inflammatory Pumpkin Spice Golden Milk Latte
Fall weather brings changing leaves and the perfect weather for cozy comfort food. However, cold weather can make our joints ache more than they did in the warmer months. Cooking with anti-inflammatory ingredients can lessen our pain while expanding our palate. Whether you’re making a drink to enjoy under a warm blanket or a wholesome and filling dinner recipe, anti-inflammatory ingredients are easy and tasty to incorporate.
Golden milk is as tasty as it sounds, and it is the perfect drink for fall. Golden milk is a traditional Indian drink made from warming milk with turmeric and spices. Turmeric is an anti-inflammatory spice that contains curcumin (surprisingly not the same thing as cumin). It has been used for thousands of years in traditional medicine to treat digestive disorders, skin problems, and joint pain. Want to try golden milk with a fun fall twist? Check out the recipe below!
